A Note from DOXA's Development and Communications Manager

A note from our Development and Communications Manager Teresa Alfeld, who will be leaving the organization to pursue filmmaking full-time this summer.

“It has been a true pleasure working with the incredible DOXA family, and it is with very mixed emotions that I make my departure in order to pursue filmmaking full-time. I’d like to offer my sincerest thanks and appreciation to the staff and board for guiding and supporting me in navigating the ropes of film festival development. In addition, I’ve truly valued getting to collaborate with our numerous sponsors, donors, filmmakers, volunteers, and audience members who make DOXA the success that it is, and look forward to seeing what comes next for this fabulous festival.” - Teresa Alfeld

"We had an exceptional festival in 2019 and a lot of that is due to Teresa’s planning, creativity, and hard work in the role of Development and Communications Manager. I am especially proud of what was accomplished on the fundraising front in the past few months - our campaign exceeded expectations and she did an amazing job pulling it all together" - Andrea Gin, Board Chair

Teresa has been a vital part of the DOXA leadership team over the past year. Before joining DOXA as staff, her feature documentary The Rankin File: Legacy of a Radical opened the 2018 DOXA Festival. While we'll miss her incisive mind, generous spirit and hilarious sense of humour around the office, we're also excited to see her filmmaking career flourish and look forward to her future documentary projects!

We're currently looking to hire Teresa's successor.  See here for more information
