REMEMBERING ALLAN KING

DOXA remembers renowned Canadian filmmaker Allan King, who died at home on June 15th at the age of 79. He was born in 1930 in Vancouver and studied philosophy at the University of British Columbia. King was a pioneer of the cinéma vérité technique and was one of Canada's most innovative and controversial filmmakers. His documentaries included A Married Couple (1970), Dying at Grace (2003) and EMPz 4 Life (2006) - a few titles in a huge body of work. DOXA recognize Allan King's enormous contribution to filmmaking and mourns his passing.
