Onsite Festival Volunteers:

The festival itself can’t happen without the help of our fantastic onsite team. Meet new people and experience the fun and buzz of the festival! Volunteers help with ticket-taking, membership selling, and a variety of other tasks involved with Front of House needs during the run of the festival.

Whether you have been volunteering for years or have never volunteered before we look forward to hearing from people who are interested in supporting DOXA as well as being a part of an exciting Film Festival.

On Site Volunteer Jobs Include:

Membership Sellers: Each filmgoer is required by law to purchase a festival membership in order to view the films. Membership Sellers circulate the ticket-holders lineup to ensure that every patron has a membership card and will sell memberships to those who have not yet purchased one.

Ticket-Takers/Door Person: Greet people at the door and take their ticket as they enter into the theatre.

Will-Call and Pass Holders Table: Greet patrons at the Will-Call/Pass Holder table and distribute tickets to people on Will Call list as well as to all Pass Holders.

Line-up Manager/Program Books: For each film there are three line-ups: Ticket holders, Will Call/Pass Holders and Ticket Buyers line up. Your job is to ensure patrons are in the correct line-up and answer any questions they may have. Along with making sure people are in the right line up, this position also includes handing out DOXA’s free program guide.

Reception Set Up and Guest Services: During the festival, DOXA will be hosting receptions prior to or following some of its screenings. We will need volunteers to help set up tables, chairs and do other party prep tasks. Volunteers who will be serving need to have a Serving It Right certificate. All reception volunteers will stay after the reception to help with clean up.

Driving: Picking up DOXA’s guests from the Airport and bringing them to their hotel. Volunteers will be reimbursed for gas and parking costs related to this volunteer job.

DOXA Street Team: Prior to festival the Street Team will distribute posters, leaflets and program guides throughout the city.
