Donate to the Kris Anderson Connexions Youth Forum and help an aspiring filmmaker participate in the 2012 DOXA Documentary Film Festival.

The Connexions Youth Forum aims to address gender inequality within the film industry by offering female filmmakers, between the ages of 19 and 25, skills training, mentorship, hands-on experience and an all-access pass to the DOXA Documentary Film Festival. During the 14-day intensive program, participants work with mentors to create their own documentary films that screen at the festival. Your donations will directly help aspiring filmmakers participate in this unique program

From December 19 to January 15, DOXA is conducting a fundraising campaign through the website IndieGoGo.com. IndieGoGo is used by many independent filmmakers to raise funds for their projects. Given this, we thought it would be a great tool to spread the word about the Connexions program and raise funds in the process. Our goal is to raise $3,000 to expand the program and offer more opportunities to more great young filmmakers.

DOXA's Connexions Youth Forum has its head and heart in all the right places. By bringing together youth and giving them the chance to make their own films, DOXA is opening doors that many of these young people never knew existed. DOXA is proud to offer several special programs as part of the festival, including the Justice Forum, Kris Anderson Connexions Youth Forum, and the Rated Y for Youth Program. DOXA is dedicated to continuing to offer these important programs, but we need your help to make sure we can fund them in the future.

Donate now and help us offer young emerging filmmakers the opportunity to come to DOXA and be mentored by industry professionals; help us introduce high school students to media literacy through the world of documentary; and help us provide compelling speakers and vigorous discussion following our social justice film screenings.
